Shiina Ringo's latest single, this time the end theme for Sakuran, uploaded for a friend, reposted here. Yousendit link, get it while it is fresh!
Her duets with her brother seem to have a sort of dance-hall feel. You can just see them doing the jazz-hands or high-kicks by the time the chorus comes round for the 3rd time. Weell, I'm probably talking out of my ass since the only other duet I've heard her do with him was "Tamanegi no Happy Song," on the Mori-pact disc of Utaite Myouri, and I never really got into the Mori-pact disc. My favorite duet she's done is with Kusano Masamune, "Haiiro Hitomi," the first song on the Kame-pact disc. He is totally transformed from "that SPITZ guy" and they sound so good together.
This single also features an interesting remix of "Karisome Otome." This version is instrumental and sounds to me like it's channelling Astor Piazzolla, pretty cool. Here's the original:
